First off for someone like myself who failed algerbra in High School, I understand the information presented in this book. The Author writes as if he himself was sitting in front of you explaining the formula’s, uses and relations. For anyone that wants to know that much more about everything about cars, this is the book to read and keep close. If two technicians sat infront of me with identical acomplishments and credentials, but one cared to take it to the next level and mathamaticaly know WHY a ram air induction is nothing more than an intake with a snorkal going directly to outside air, I think I would pick him

I love math and I love cars, so I was looking forward to a concise book on the topics. Within reading the first few pages, I found several mistakes. Some were simple mathematical mistakes in converting and others were more serious assumptions about vehicles and others were just due to poor editing, eg. diagrams that were unclear or stating that “9/12″ converts inches to feet. These first few pages were enough to prove the book shouldn’t be taken seriously. There are still some decent formulas and ideas if you keep your eyes open and know enough to catch the rest of it.
