SAID is convening six panels and roundtable discussions at the annual BISA convention this year. These will cover topics ranging from changes in state sovereignty, changing normative attitudes to the state, failed states, trusteeship, and regionalism. Confirmed speakers on these panels include Prof Lawrence Freedman (King's College London), Prof David Chandler (Centre for the Study of Democracy, University of Westminster), and Dr William Bain (University of Wales, Aberystwyth).
